On June 23-24, Expocentre hosted events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs: VI MICE Networking Forum, General Meeting of RUEF Members, XII International Forum of the Exhibition Industry activities.

The business program of the VI MICE Networking Forum brought together more than 100 leaders of the congress, exhibition and event industry from different regions of Russia. On the first day of the Forum, meetings of the Presidium and relevant committees of the RUEF were held, at which delegates discussed important issues of the state and development of the congress and exhibition industry, the search for new formats and areas of work in connection with geopolitical changes, as well as the necessary anti-crisis measures to support the industry.

With the participation of the delegates of the General Meeting of the RUEF members, the Joint Meeting of the RF CCI Committee on Exhibitions, Fairs and Congress Activities and the Plenary Session of the XII International Forum of the Exhibition Industry 5pEXPO “From import substitution to import advance! Exhibition and congress activities as a factor in the development of Russian business was held.

The General Meeting approved changes in the composition of the RUEF Presidium. Changes also took place in the composition of the legal committee of the RUEF and the committee on information and communication technologies. The unanimous decision was to establish a Committee for International Promotion.

The agenda also included the development of the Federal Law “On exhibition, fair and congress activities in the Russian Federation”, the audit of exhibition events, the educational program of the RUEF and the Higher School of Economics of St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

The Meeting participants listened to the report of the Executive Director of the RUEF Elena Ublieva on the results of the first half of 2022

The meeting ended with the awarding of distinguished employees with awards from the RUEF and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and congratulations to the anniversaries.
